Mutual respect and positive attitudes allow children to take informed risks, make mistakes and learn how to learn in a supportive and empowered way.

From an academic perspective, more than 80% of A Level students gained A*- C grades in 2018 and the vast majority have taken up their first-choice place at university including coveted places at Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, Exeter, Bath, Imperial, Loughborough Manchester and Birmingham.

Queen’s is proud to be a centre of excellence for the performing arts with Drama, Dance and Music pivotal to the success of this thriving independent school in the heart of South-West England.

Queen’s has its own 570-seat theatre – one of the largest in the region – and stages three major productions every year with virtually every student at the school taking part.

With state-of-the-art sound and lighting, the shows attract rave reviews and can lead students on to the next step towards a professional stage career.

The Music facilities are excellent, with a spacious, purpose-built Music School complete with individual practice rooms and a music technology suite. The school even has its own professional Orchestra-in-Residence, the Southern Sinfonia.

Art is at the heart of Queen's College as reflected by the impressive art studios and excellent teaching team with students encouraged to explore and expand their creative ideas – and a 100% pass rate at both GCSE and A-Level in 2018.

Queen’s College is also very highly regarded for its sport, producing more than a dozen internationals in recent years. One to one lessons are also available, ensuring students are given access to individual, tailored coaching and mentoring from leading sports professionals.

Queen's has a vibrant co-curricular programme including climbing, horse-riding, kayaking, canoeing and swimming as well as having one of the region’s largest Duke of Edinburgh Award cohorts.
