Cheltenham College Prep
Every child deserves their schooldays to be magical; something to be loved, enjoyed and remembered fondly for years to come. It is not enough that schools simply prepare the children for the challenges that lie ahead. This is vitally important, of course, but it comes as a result of happy, engaged and challenged children throwing themselves into all that every day has to offer. Cheltenham Prep inspires the children, to bring excitement and intrigue into every lesson. Having amazing facilities is wonderful, but it is the teacher engages and motivates each child that really makes the difference and that is what Cheltenham Prep is all about.

At Cheltenham Prep, children from Nursery School to Year 8 are supported to try new things. Whether it is taking part in a workshop with an external award-winning author, to participating in a Drama production, SFX workshop or sporting competitions, there is an activity for each child to flourish and find their true passions.
Pastoral care is at the heart of every area of the school, it is of high importance that pupils feel safe, comfortable and happy. In Cade House, children are empowered with the choice of what they would like to do, depending on how they are feeling. This choice allows boarders to naturally develop their independence, taking ownership of their evening and weekend. Understanding that the needs of a Year 3 boarder is very different to that of a Year 8 is critical in creating a brilliant boarding school.

“Definitely one of the best boarding schools in the UK, especially for military families! Our son was at The Prep boarding from Year 3 and he is now at the College and our daughter started in Year 4 and is loving it…the school focuses on growth mindset in a huge way and the staff are incredibly supportive. As a family, we love Cheltenham Prep and the boarding house has a fantastic ‘home away from home’ environment – highly recommend to any military family looking for that ‘forever school’ for their children”
“Academically robust without undue pressure”
“Boarders say that they value the very strong team spirit and sense of community within the boarding house and being part of the boarding house family”
