Taunton is set right in the heart of the Somerset country side, providing a safe environment with the school being just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Taunton Town. ![Queens (37 of 387)](https://ukschools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/Update%20Sept%202025/Queens%20(37%20of%20387).jpg?width=2000&height=1414&name=Queens%20(37%20of%20387).jpg "Queens (37 of 387)") As one of the top academic co-educational institutions in the country, Queen’s achieved a notable 97% A Level pass rate in 2025, all medics secured a 100% acceptance rate to their first-choice universities and the school has become a High Performance Learning (HPL) pathway school. HPL challenges the idea that intelligence is fixed and instead focuses on developing key cognitive and learning behaviours—such as critical thinking, resilience, and creativity— helping students become independent, adaptable learners, aligning with the school motto “we learn not for school but for life”. A vibrant and well organised boarding system means there is a real sense of community. Pupils can board from age 7 to 18 years; an experienced team of boarding house parents means pupils are well cared for in comfortable, recently refurbished boarding accommodation. The school is well connected with major road and rail links to Heathrow (2 hours) and Bristol and Exeter Airports (both 45 minutes). Learning goes beyond the classroom, with over 100 co-curricular activities running every week, students are actively encouraged to try new things and push themselves to embrace new experiences, ensuring they learn new skills and understand more about themselves in the process. Queen’s College is a centre of excellence for creative and performing arts, staging six to eight professional-level productions each year. Our shows attract thousands of people from Taunton and the local areas and we have a full sized, 570 seater theatre, giving our pupils the experience of performing live in front of big crowds. With elite-level coaching in multiple sports, as well as recreational options, students can compete, stay active, and develop teamwork skills during our PE and Games timetabled classes, as well as through our extensive Co-Curricular programme.   During the weekend, all boarding students take part in adventurous activities such as climbing, kayaking, and mountain biking, as well as having access to all of the facilities on site, including a cookery school, art centre, sports centre, swimming pool and climbing wall. There are many excursions arranged over the weekend so students can appreciate both their local surroundings and will also have opportunity’s to travel further afield. ![Queens (130 of 387)](https://ukschools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/Update%20Sept%202025/Queens%20(130%20of%20387).jpg?width=2000&height=1414&name=Queens%20(130%20of%20387).jpg "Queens (130 of 387)") ![Boarding 1200x6286](https://ukschools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/Update%20Sept%202025/Boarding%201200x6286.png?width=1200&height=628&name=Boarding%201200x6286.png "Boarding 1200x6286") ![Queens (81 of 94)](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/Update%20Sept%202025/Queens%20(81%20of%2094).jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=Queens%20(81%20of%2094).jpg) ![Queens (145 of 210)](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/Update%20Sept%202025/Queens%20(145%20of%20210).jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=Queens%20(145%20of%20210).jpg) ![Queens (290 of 387)](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/Update%20Sept%202025/Queens%20(290%20of%20387).jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=Queens%20(290%20of%20387).jpg) ![CCs 1200x6282](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/Update%20Sept%202025/CCs%201200x6282.png?width=1200&length=1200&name=CCs%201200x6282.png) ![Senior 1200x1200 px5-1](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/Update%20Sept%202025/Senior%201200x1200%20px5-1.png?width=1200&length=1200&name=Senior%201200x1200%20px5-1.png) ![Logo](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Jotform/250015412634040/Logo.png?width=1200&length=1200&name=Logo.png) ![2537 Queens Day One 064](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/2537%20Queens%20Day%20One%20064.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=2537%20Queens%20Day%20One%20064.jpg) ![2537 Queens Day Three 054](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/2537%20Queens%20Day%20Three%20054.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=2537%20Queens%20Day%20Three%20054.jpg) ![Queens (81 of 94)](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/Update%20Sept%202025/Queens%20(81%20of%2094).jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=Queens%20(81%20of%2094).jpg) ![Queens (145 of 210)](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/Update%20Sept%202025/Queens%20(145%20of%20210).jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=Queens%20(145%20of%20210).jpg) ![Queens (290 of 387)](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/Update%20Sept%202025/Queens%20(290%20of%20387).jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=Queens%20(290%20of%20387).jpg) ![CCs 1200x6282](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/Update%20Sept%202025/CCs%201200x6282.png?width=1200&length=1200&name=CCs%201200x6282.png) ![Senior 1200x1200 px5-1](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/Update%20Sept%202025/Senior%201200x1200%20px5-1.png?width=1200&length=1200&name=Senior%201200x1200%20px5-1.png) ![Logo](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Jotform/250015412634040/Logo.png?width=1200&length=1200&name=Logo.png) ![2537 Queens Day One 064](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/2537%20Queens%20Day%20One%20064.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=2537%20Queens%20Day%20One%20064.jpg) ![2537 Queens Day Three 054](https://26743376.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26743376/hubfs/Featured%20Schools/Queens%20College/2537%20Queens%20Day%20Three%20054.jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=2537%20Queens%20Day%20Three%20054.jpg) ## School Videos > [Check out Queen's Taunton on TikTok - @queens.college](https://www.tiktok.com/@queens.college?refer=creator_embed) --- ## School Information **School Facts** - **Head -**  Julian Noad - **School type -** Co-Education - **Age Range -** 11 -18 - **Pupil Numbers -** 642 (112 Boarders) **Address:** Trull Road, Taunton, Somerset TA1 4QS   **Phone -  [01823 272559](tel:01823%20272559)** **Website -** [http://queenscollege.org.uk](http://queenscollege.org.uk) --- ### Queen's College - Trull Rd, Taunton, TA1 4QS [Contact Us](https://ukschools.com/contact-us?hsLang=en) [instagram icon](https://www.instagram.com/ukschools_com/) [facebook-f icon](https://www.facebook.com/ukschools/) ## © Copyright 2026 [UKschools.com](https://ukschools.com/?hsLang=en), All Rights Reserved [Cookie Policy](https://ukschools.com/cookies?hsLang=en)
