Around two-thirds of pupils are boarders and boarding life is varied and fun. On joining Haileybury, boarding and day pupils are allocated to one of the Houses and are welcomed into their House community. There is an emphasis on pastoral care with around-the-clock support from the Housemasters and Housemistresses, as well as an on-site Health and Wellbeing centre providing a circle of care. The school is a home-from-home, with a warm and friendly feel. Exceptional opportunities A key part of Haileybury’s philosophy is empowering each child to follow their passions and build self-confidence. Beyond the academic curriculum, pupils benefit from a vast array of activities, including professional sports coaching for all and regular visits from speakers and performers from the arts, sporting and academic worlds.
